Introducing the Dirty Twin

Meet the latest from Analog Motorcycle’s custom vision.  The Dirty Twin.

The Dirty Twin started life as a brand new 2017 Triumph Street Twin.   We are very familiar with the platform – one of our shop bikes is a 2016 model we have been tinkering with over the last year.  That includes developing a slew of bolt on parts that really change up the way the stock bike looks and feels.  So when Rebel Yell Bourbon approached us to be a part of the 2017 Rebels Uncaged Tour (again) we immediately said “yes” and gave our friends at Triumph a quick call knowing we wanted to use the Street Twin as a donor bike for our entry.

With the bike in the shop, Tony began taking measurements to up the off road capability of the stock Street Twin.   A Triumph T100 rear wheel and Triumph Scrambler Front wheel are powder coated in a custom blue color with powdered coated spokes, and Michelin Anakee Wild Tires assembled and balanced in house. Longer 2014 Triumph Scrambler front forks with Race Tech Gold Valve Emulators and progressive springs were used in addition to a set of longer Race Tech G3-S rear shocks valved to our specification.  Tony hand formed the side panels out of aluminum to replace the stock pieces – the left side has a custom air inlet mated to the stock airbox.  We used a set of Cone Shorty Performer Mufflers to open up the exhaust side of the motor and to stop the whole thing we outfitted the build with Beringer Controls, a 6 piston caliper, and drilled front rotor.

Out back, the rear sub frame was modified to accept a custom formed aluminum fender that Tony made, and on the end of that we installed an Analog Motor Goods Retro Kit in anodized black.  We also used this bike to design a new set of pegs we are calling the Gripper Pegs which are available on our site.  To top the rear half of the bike off, we made a new solo seat pan which was stitched up with black leather and blue details by Charlie from 83seats and retains the stock latch unit for easy access to the electronics. We knew it was going to be important to get the seat right because we would be riding this bike along with the other 5 Rebel Yell custom builds from Spokane, WA to Sturgis in late summer just like we did on our ’05 Bonneville last year.

Up front Tony hand formed a number plate and a really cool looking speedo/tach relocator featuring a Denali DR1 & D2 LED light.  Then the whole bike was pinstriped by our good friend Brando.  The number plate, side panels, tank, and Rebel Yell branding on the right side are all artfully hand painted. The instrument housing is painted black, and we added a set of Moose oversized bars with Oury grips to round out the upgrades to the rider’s controls.  Just below the number plate we installed our Watsen Front Signals Kit to ditch the stock turn signal package completely.

The bike clearly looks the part, but it will also perform when called upon.  The Cone exhaust really makes this platform sound incredible and with all the modifications working in unison it makes a tidy little package.  We can’t wait to really get it D-I-R-T-Y and fulfill it’s namesake destiny.

Big thanks to all our sponsors that helped make this bike possible:

Wow! beautifully done!
Love the cool rough yet elegant look!
One question: what’s was the final weight of the bike? I’m thinking of doing something similar over here in Spain but I’m very concerned about the weight of the Triumph…Cheers

Hi Carlos!

Although we haven’t weighed the bike, the bike likely weighs a bit less than stock (Cone Engineering exhaust is much lighter than stock exhaust), but there wasn’t a goal of drastically cutting the weight.

Hello Analog Motorcycles.

That is an awesome looking dirt bike, one I will definitely add some day to my collection :))

Could you send me a link to a video of that beast running? :D
That would be awesome to watch!
