On my continued quest to get to the AIMExpo I had a couple days to kill between the Barber Vintage Festival in Alabama and my Orlando destination. So I met up with a couple friends while at Barber and we headed over to Atlanta for a couple days. This was a bonus because 3 of them were amazing photographers. I had a van full of subjects and they had lenses ready to capture them. Here are some photos we got from Jun Song @nostalgia_memoir, Matthew Jones @matthewjonesphoto, and Enrique Parrilla @eparrillaphotos

The second day I was there my new good friend Steve West of Silver Piston invited Dave (from Café Racers Of Instagram) and I for some Northern Georgia riding in the lower part of the Smokey Mountains. By far, that was the highlight of the trip, as I love to ride the twisties in the beautiful mountainous areas of this country. My weapon of choice was the RnineT/6 and I would have to say that with it’s fully tuned Race Tech suspension I put on that machine it is the best handling vintage motorcycle I have built to date. I gave Steve a run for his money on his modern Triumph Sprint 1090 by never letting him lose sight of me in his mirrors no matter the pace.

On the way back from some incredible riding and scenery we swung by and visited Bryan Fuller’s shop. He is a solid guy with a great eye for design and tremendous fabrication abilities. Upon entering his shop I was immediately struck with a large case of “shop envy”. He had just about everything a motorcycle builder would ever want or need. He showed us around some of the current projects he has going and let me pretend I won a Moto GP race by letting me hold one of the Trophies he made for the 2013 Indy GP. It was a good little pit stop before heading to the Brother Moto Tuesday Bike night at Victory Sandwich Bar in Decatur, GA. A bite to eat and a drink and I packed up and headed to Orlando that night. Stay tuned for part 3 of this journey…
