Cone Universal LED Motorcycle Tail Light
This unit will give your custom project that perfect last detail you are looking for. Featuring a premium LED light cluster and red lens, the housing and bracket are manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum. Day or night, you’ll find that the Cone LED Taillight offers an overabundance of intensity for any application. This kit comes with all of the required mounting hardware. All you need to do to install the Cone LED Taillight is drill a couple of mounting holes in your fender and wire it up. Made in the U.S.A.
I looked for a long time for a high quality small tail light with no luck. I even ordered a few online and was disappointed with the quality. Brackets were cheap and flimsy, wiring was poor quality and paint finish was terrible.
I found Analog Motors Cone LED tail light after doing a Google search for High Quality Motorcycle Tail Light. After exchanging a few emails back and forth with sales I ended up purchasing the black cone style.
The pictures online appear to show the black housing as being somewhat gray but it’s actually black. Very nice finish. The lens assembly and bracket are secured together with stainless Allen fasteners instead of cheap plated steel fasteners, which is a nice surprise. The mounting hardware included with the tail light was also stainless.
The red lens is sealed to prevent water from collecting in the tail light body during rain or washing. The wiring appears to be of nice quality and soldered well. The LED assembly (LEDs, wiring, and circuit board) inside the housing is completely potted with clear epoxy to protect it from the elements as well as provide a great deal of vibration resistance.
There is a nice differential of brightness when applying the brake. Some LED tail lights only brighten a bit, but these throw out an obvious brake light indication which is nice. The tail light function is not dim, but not so bright that you think the brake light is on all the time.
The only change I made was to apply a carefully placed small touch of black RTV to the area in which the wires exit the tail light assembly. Although probably unnecessary since the LED assembly is completely sealed anyway, I didn’t want any water entering the housing through the small gap between the wiring and the hole in the housing.
All in all, this unit is heads and tails above the other tail lights available out there and I would definitely recommend to others.
light is really bright but the aluminum bracket is trash and the wires are as thin as hairs, had my bike idling for maybe 5mins after installing and the whole mount broke off
You do not need thick wires for LED. They are 18/20 gauge wire which is more than enough. Sorry you had an issue with a bracket. If you email or call and let us know we can see if we can help you sort out the issue. We have made and sold several hundred of these with very few issues. [email protected]
